Miraki Life was born from a bit of magic, a lot of serendipity, and the kind of friendship that always seems to circle back.

Maria and Serena had known each other for over a decade. They were always connected, sometimes from a distance. Life aligned when they both found themselves in Paris at the same time, by total coincidence. From there, it was spontaneous photoshoots in Romania, late-night creative chats, and a wedding dance floor that sealed the deal: they wanted to build something together.

Inspired by the energy, connection, and creative ease they felt abroad, they returned to Toronto with a mission to create that same sense of possibility back home. Within six months, Miraki Life became a reality.

Our Story

At its heart, Miraki Life is about people. A space for artists, entrepreneurs, and community-builders who want to work differently and want to be surrounded by creativity, good energy, and honest connection. A place where your projects are taken seriously, but you don’t have to take yourself too seriously.

It’s a studio, event and workspace, a creative hub. A home for ideas, experiments, and the occasional popcorn-fueled brainstorming session.

We’re so glad you found us. Come create with us.

What does Miraki mean?

Meraki, μεράκι, literally means "essence of ourselves".

The actual translation of the Greek word represents a concept that cannot be translated into one. In our attempt, we can best describe it as "something done with one's soul, with creativity, effort and a lot of love". That is what Miraki Life is all about.

Serena Mola is a Toronto and Paris-based photographer and co-founder of Miraki Life Workspace. Born in Romania and shaped by a multicultural upbringing, she blends cultural insight with a sharp creative instinct. With a background in cultural studies and entrepreneurship, she brings a “let’s make it happen” mindset to everything she does. Through Miraki Life, she’s built a space where creatives and entrepreneurs can connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Mash Vass aka Maria

Maria (also known as Mash Vass) is a Toronto-based artist, brand strategist, and co-founder of Miraki Life Workspace. She’s spent over a decade helping brands tell better stories—especially in complex spaces like healthcare, death care, and community building—while staying rooted in her own creative practice.

Her work moves between strategy and artistry, blending storytelling, design, and connection. Whether she’s guiding a workshop, shaping a brand’s voice, or creating mixed-media pieces, her focus is always on meaningful, human-centered experiences.

Maria co-founded Miraki Life to create the kind of space she always wished existed. A place where creativity meets clarity, where people can work, host, and create on their own terms. Whether she’s guiding a workshop, helping a brand find its voice, or prepping an art show, her work always comes back to the same thing: connection, storytelling, and building things that matter.

At Miraki Life, you’ll usually find her juggling a few too many projects and refilling the coffee pot (again).
